Do Anti-Texting Laws Work?

In a study published in the American Journal of Public Health, researchers looked at traffic deaths in 48 states over a ten year period (2000-2010) and compared traffic deaths in states with texting bans to states without. In those states with texting bans, they compared traffic fatalities within the state before and after the texting ban went into effect.
